Bio: Nama Dama
Nama Dama is the stage name of songwriter and performer Anastasia Demetriadou from Nicosia. The seeds were planted in 2019, when she first began sharing her musical stories.
Nama Dama’s main purpose is to create an artistic world that can bring literature, poetry, acting and music together.
She named this world “The World Above the Ceiling”; a creative space that aims to enrich the senses and liberate the mind. The songs are therefore usually poems and short narrations, accompanied by music and vocal expressivity while her music is an experimental amalgam of classical, folk, rock and soul.
Her music is a dimension, waiting to be explored… and explained.
Nama Dama released her first EP, Confessions To My Songbird in 2021. This year, she is sharing the Fengaros Festival stage with two fellow musicians, Yiannis Constantinou on cello and Xanthos Pattichis on bass.
On 6th of January she is sharing the Stage with Mental Soup at The Soulist Coffee & Music House
