If you drive along the coastal road west from Girne you arrive in Alsancak, and will see the Coffee and Music House “The Soulist” (Karaoglanoglu Caddesi no 10) opposite Dima Discount Market and the Golden Lady.

This Coffee and Music House is unique in the area.

You can see the owner Alper Cengiz (lead singer of the group Soul Stuff from Istanbul and the frontman from the local band Alper Cengiz & Friends) and his partner in life Adeleh Mozafari. A lot of emphasis on the details taken here
Music is at the centre of the stage.
Furnishings and musical background for coffee enjoyment, trumpets as ceiling lighting, musical instruments and memories of musicians on the walls all add to the atmosphere of the coffee house.

During the day you can enjoy delicious coffee of different kinds, as well as homemade savoury and sweet pastries. This enjoyment is rounded off by good music.

There is live music FOUR times a week.
Every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday evening you can hear Blues, Jazz, Rock, Pop, Classical & Reggae music (to be recommended), especially since Alper Cengiz sings himself now and again. The live Gigs start at about 9.30pm.

The love of music is also felt when you visit a live event. Alper Cengiz has put a lot of emphasis on the acoustics here and at a live concert you get the feeling of a small music hall.

It is easy to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, which makes it a recommended place, whether just meeting friends, reading a book, studying, or just listening to good music.

The Hürriyet newspaper from Istanbul has named “The Soulist” as one of the BEST LIVE ACT places of Northern Cyprus. On the 19th of February Gülse Birsel from Hürriyet wrote “Best place for live music”
